For this project, I was inspired by the stage setups of the 2024 Summer School Tour. I wanted to create a visual companion for my favorite song on the album: “Concrete Closure.” The goal was to time the lyrics to the song while making sure they appeared with enough lead time for first-time listeners to actually understand and follow along.

I attended Rain City Drive’s headlining show the night before their album Things Are Different Now officially released. While the show was amazing, the energy was understandably subdued during the new songs because the crowd hadn’t had a chance to hear the music yet. Thinking back to the visual elements from the Summer School Tour I wanted to create something similar to help a first-time listeners connect with the lyrics of songs in real-time in order to enhance the experience of the show.
